Yes. There are no settings to configure or prompt tricks to learn. Open the app, ask in plain English, and go. Sammy is capable enough for people who already use AI every day, and easy enough for people who've never touched it.
On Free, Sammy runs Google's open-source Gemma model entirely on your phone. On Core, Sammy Cloud handles the heavier lifting on a decentralised GPU network. On Premium, Sammy can also call in Anthropic's Claude for more complex topics, and Google Gemini handles image generation. Best-in-class models, chosen deliberately. Your conversations are never used to train any of them.
On AkashML, a decentralised GPU network, rather than a single tech giant's data centre. There's no central warehouse of conversations to leak, sell, or hack. We don't log, retain, sell, or train on your conversations.
Phones aren't data centres. The model that runs on your device (Google's Gemma) has to fit inside the memory and battery budget of a phone, so it's smaller and slower than the models running in cloud data centres. The trade-off is privacy: nothing leaves the device. On-device AI is also improving fast. Every Sammy release ships the latest version, so the model on your phone gets quietly better over time.
